A holistic approach for effective pain management

This journey started for me when my mom got sick and we felt helpless . To the man that suggest Bowen therapy to my mom , I am truly grateful and pray that his wife is cancer free.
When I started this bowen therapy journey i honestly did not realize what would happen. I had visions of it becoming a career for me and a blessing for my family. My wonderful husband"s work ethic and dedication to his family has allowed me the greatest gift of being able to stay home and be with our kids, all the while attending class modules for a little over a year

I have been doing Bowen for a total of nearly 2 years. In that time I along with Kelly have created a very nice work environment. It has been my choice to go about this at a slow yet steadily upward pace so that I can continue to be at home with my son before he starts school. It has been worked like a finely oiled machine and has been exactly the pace I had invisioned as far as a "job".

BUT, something much deeper is happening.

I have always been one that loves to help people. In specific, I have a love for the elderly and have worked in facilities as a CNA and caregiver. I find myself going to memories of my dear grandmother who would tell me my gift was my caring and gentle hands and kind heart. So Bowen therapy fit into who I am and what it offered.

Today I sit here an extremely humbled individual. I have laughed and cried with my clients. I too have wondered with them to what extent if any will this therapy help them. Sometimes I feel like I am more surprised then they are when pain that they sometimes have lived with for years ...is gone. To know that I learned something that profoundly changed the quality of their life and to see tears of gratitude is painfully humbling....and my response can only be.....Thank you Lord.
