The year 2000 was a special year for us when God first revealed his will to have a faith-based school in Ormond Beach, Florida that would foster the love of the arts in a safe, wholesome environment that would bring glory to the Name of Jesus Christ and encourage the students and their audiences to have a closer walk with him. This tiny class of seven and instructor of one grew into a nonprofit ministry of one hundred two performing arts students and seventeen paid and volunteer staff members.
Students study vocals, dance and acting in order to tell stories from the Bible or based on the Bible and the life-changing scriptures in it. each spring we put on a free full-length musical with an original script written by our artistic director and founder, Cindy Lescarbeau. The FREED musical for 2017 will be a dark story about spiritual warfare that goes on in our world and in our city everyday.
We have added a class named Street Dance this year and look forward to adding the new skills learned to our performances this dance season. Street Dance is taught by Cullen Byrne and consists of three different dance styles including Animation, Hip-Hop and Break or B-boying and B-girling. It is a super fun class for ages 8-21.
