Since I graduated from The University I have always worked in management which spanned 15 years. Don’t get time wrong I loved it, but in 2007 I saw an advert for a well known Beauty company called Body Shop looking for ‘at home’ staff. I applied, followed by sheer panic at the thought of demoing a make up look in front of a group of women. However, my 1st make over went well and I spent the following 8 years with this company. During my time I won a make up competition, judged by a celebrity make up artist and attended London Fashion week. I was backstage with the make up artists prepping the models before the catwalk. The buzz and excitement was amazing. I learned so much about make up in those 48 hours that I decided to pursue it more. I read up on new looks, I watched Youtube videos and trained my team that I had built on all the latest looks and ways to apply.

In 2014 I realized that despite working in the beauty industry I was very much still in management. Constant spreadsheets, training, targets and documents became my day to day and decided at 45, yes 45, that I wanted to be more creative. In December of 2014 I enrolled on an 18 week freelance make up artist course at Pout Patrol Academy. My 1st day was mixed with excitement and trepidation. 6 months on I am a ‘freelance make up artist. I love being creative everyday. I spend time getting to know what my clients want, not what I want for them. I still watch lots of beauty channels, search looks on Instagram and Pinterest and recreate. I have never been happier.

If you choose me to paint your face what you get is a friendly lady who listens to your choice, who pays attention to detail and who is constantly striving to learn more and more about her trade. I am a member of Bectu and I am fully insured. I have a beauty room at home and I am also mobile. I use all the top brands in make up from the UK and USA.
