In February 2014 I began the Couch to 5k, 9 week programme, having never run before. I started with an old pair of trainers, thermals and Mercer Park. By week 7 I had excelled and ran 5k. By week 10 I ran 10k and within 6 months, completed my first half marathon. 18 months later I completed my first Marathon. Running with friends and like minded people is the biggest motivation to get those trainers on and to get moving. This is your opportunity to start running, no matter what level, or whether you have ever run before, the couch to 5k is ideal starting point and aimed at all abilities....
